Sushi? Try cork. Consider a glazed ceramic tile with definitive lines. How about a subtle floral area rug?

With all of the Hardwood, Ceramic, Cork, Bamboo and Laminate flooring being sold these days, the demand for Area Rugs has skyrocketed. Area Rugs are the perfect finishing touch to any rooms for a variety of reasons:

They add warmth to the room.

They quiet the room.

Your can change your room design by changing rug style or placement or both.

They help to define the space.

Can be an inexpensive way to update your decor.

With all this being said, the next question is: “What is the most efficient way to add Area Rugs to my home?”

At Duralum Carpets we make Area Rugs out of our huge selection of carpet remnants. These rems can be cut to exactly the size you want and are up to 60% off. Generally it takes between one to two weeks to go from selection to delivery. We also have a nice selection on padding that is made for Area Rugs and won’t stain the surface underneath.

We have offered Cork flooring at Duralum Carpets for about 3 years now. The first 2 years we have been getting some questions here and there. This past year I have seen the interest in cork flooring skyrocket! Why? We are located in Stevens Point, WI. And it seems to take fashion and flooring trends awhile to make it to us. Well now cork flooring has really arrived. Here are some of the reasons:

Warmth and heat retention.

Very quiet.

Less fatiguing to walk on.

Cork is a renewable resource.

Excellent for allergy sufferers.

Easy to install yourself.

Beautiful style & colors available.

Here is a nice video on cork .

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn0impZhsl4

This is how cork is harvested. Note that the tree is 25 to 35 years old before first harvesting. But after that you can harvest every 9 years.
